Have you given yourself a pat on the back lately?
This movement closely resembles the rotation provided by #Gomukhasna arms. It is designed to give your shoulders a deep stretch, as well as your elbows, and opens up the chest and rib cage.
Next time you are in this pose try turning your bottom-elbow-palm to face away from you (out) and inch-worming it higher and higher up your back. Aim for the space between the shoulder blades, and breathe into the rotation as you move deeper. Think about creating space in your shoulder to soften into it. You just might be surprised with how much easier/closer your clasp can be. *
